WTF OS X you can suck it
This should work:
[menuitem setKeyEquivalentModifierMask:(NSAlternateKeyMask|NSCommandKeyMask)];
[menuitem setKeyEquivalent:@"t"];
It works if I replace the "t" with "q", etc. wtf.
Edit: ahh, a system item added to the edit menu takes it. bleh.
