jack white is such a bitch

I mean really, if a beach ball bounces up on stage, what do you do? Stop playing, complain,
complain about the promoter who had their logo on the ball, then make the 4000+ people who
paid you $40 each for a show wait 5 minutes as a penalty? Stupid bitch. I mean really. If it
fucked you up, that's understandable, just be cool about it (which in fairness you were later,
once a guy got on stage).

It happened during that terrible doorbell song, which was a plus, but then when you came back
on stage after 5 minutes (5 minutes in which I nearly left), you started over playing that
painfully crappy song. Don't make me suffer twice, too.

For someone who talks so much shit about "all analog" and everything, you seem to be going
a little bit too complex and digital (I mean really, a drum trigger that plays a guitar sample?).
And you've finally succumbed to the "guy singing on piano is cool" wagon, too, it seems. *sigh*
Not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just that all the talk gets old.

The opening band was pretty decent, though...

Strike this up to one of the many reasons i hate the white stripes. Infact, the same equation can apply to other bands i hate (especially british ones with brothers). Unfounded attitude + bad music == hate.

On the other hand, the girl has a good rack, and all that throwing her arms around makes for much eye candy.

Craig, straight to the point you get.

I saw the show Friday night and the same thing happened, only it was a 10 second pause while he yelled at the station, not a five minute pause. And it was much later into the show, right when "We're Going to Be Friends" was starting. He asked later for a "written apology".
Personally, I thought it was really funny.

yeah that's funny.. 5 minutes is pretty ridiculous and tiresome, though. and yeah, I tend to agree with craig, anyway...

btw, the opening band was Autolux, not the Greenhornes. Autolux is pretty good, too.

i went to see dave matthews, Jem, and the black eyed peas that nite at SBC.... (most of my friends went to the stripes show)..... i honestly think the 5 minute pause would have been more exciting.

there is no doubt (in my mind) that all three of those groups can perform, but watching a top 40 countdown on a jumbotron while the sound fades in and out from the wind pretty much sucks.
plus,
beers were 6 bucks each.

from now on i only go to small venues.

sidenote: best show i've ever seen was: sharon jones and the dap kings @ the elbo room...

that SBC show sounds like my nightmare.. my best show as of late would have to be Dungen at Bottom of the Hill, despite technical failures.. but yes, small venues forever. Unless it's someone who's good enough to rock a big venue, like Radiohead...
