Music is a really neat thing. I like it. Music can inspire emotion, as well as have emotions and memories associated with it. Ever notice how if you listen to a CD for a long while, then don't listen to it for a few years that when you go listen to it again you automatically know how the next song on the CD begins at the end of a song. It's really amazing.

here is a list of albums I recommend (all of these are just chock full of goodness). some of these albums have little notes about memories attached, too. This list is super out of date, have lots of updates that I should probably add (new stuff like Dungen, old stuff like Pixies, etc)

  (Listened to this a TON when I was on a 2 week field trip in 1993. I remember sitting out on a plain in Chinle, AZ, going through some hard social times. Very powerful music, indeed.)

  (Actually didn't start listening to this until after college, even, after Dana showed me it at the same time as The Wizard of Oz.)

  (Dana was playing this a lot when he was living in Sedona with me. I remember hearing the bass of the first few songs from across the house)

  (Bought this in Arizona Mills, and remember listening to it a TON while driving around in my 5000cstq. the picture of the parking lot of Arizona Mills in night in a bit of fog comes to mind. life changing album)
• Radiohead - OK Computer

  (Spending hours looking at the madness of radiohead.com months before the release, awaiting anxiously)
• Radiohead - Amnesiac
  (No solid memories yet, other than being very inspired. I try not to have favorites, and like all of the bands on here, but Radiohead has the distinction of being the only band I'd fly half way across the world to see. Over and over.)
• Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic
  (Listened to this a lot on a cheap analog tape copy. biggest memory is probably going to Lake Powell with Shawn (who was a Jehovas Witness, and really shouldn't have been listening to it) and my dad and Ed)
